New architecture lagging

Hello,

I know there was an issue created before about rn new architecture not working at all, but has anyone upgraded and has problems with performance? Our app is lagging a lot for first few seconds after switching tab when you try to scroll, this happens only when new architecture is enabled, if we disable everything works smoothly.

I have tried to upgrade to latest packages, but still the same.

Was trying to debug on iOS and it seems there is some high activity after scroll change related to reanimated and possibly scrollview, attaching screenshots, just in case anyone has any idea.

Experiencing the same issue. It would be great if this could be fixed as the react-native-tab-view package has issues with being in a ScrollView and this library would solve the issue for me, however with that lag it is not really a viable alternative.

Not sure about the fix in #461, this seems a bit hacky at a first glance, but I can't really judge without further knowledge of the codebase.
