On iOS, the scroll is jerky for a few seconds after switching tab

Hey folks,

Thank you for this valuable library!

We are experiencing issues on iOS; when switching between tabs, the vertical scroll temporarily becomes jerky and uneven for a few seconds. After this short interval, vertical scrolling resumes its normal function. This occurs every time we switch to a new tab, even if we return to a previously visited tab.

I had a same problem.. but, I found version 7.0.1 works fine!

Unfortunately, we haven't found a workaround yet...
We've tried to downgrade the library from 8.0.0 to 7.0.1, but it caused our app to crash, so we reverted the change.

I saw an improvement when I tried this fix by adjusting package.json to use version github:PedroBern/react-native-collapsible-tab-view#46e49db0b2ae3fffa213c4b3d398c18b4089ef6b

Happens on Android as well, version 8.0.1. I am only using Tab.ScrollView without any children?

We’re seeing the same issue on Tabs.FlatList and Tabs.ScrollView in version 8.x.

On first tab mount, if a user performs a fast upward gesture within ~0–500ms:
• Native momentum scroll is lost
• Native bounce effect is missing
• Scroll view halts abruptly mid-gesture

However, if the swipe is delayed by ~500ms to 1s, momentum and bounce behave as expected — which suggests it’s a gesture binding timing issue.

After testing various workarounds (requestAnimationFrame, deferring scrollEnabled, disabling lazy loading), none resolved the artifact consistently.

✅ Reverting to version 7.0.1 resolves the issue.
