using PDE with latest Eclipse

For quite a while, we use PDE with Eclipse. that worked (and works) fine for Eclipse 2022-09 (4.25.0) with PDE 3.14.1300.v20220831-1800.

But now I try to switch to Eclipse 2024-12 (4.34.0) and cannot find PDE. In particular, Eclipse does not seem to know what to do with files having ".target" and ".project" endings. How to install the plugin?

I don't know how you switched, but it seem that something went wrong during update. Try a clean install, PDE is for sure there.

Paste a screenshot of the Help -> About dialog so we can see exactly what you have installed.

It turned out that "PDE" now is part of Eclipse, which is the reason I could not find a matching plugin to install. So all is well.
