api http mocking

Hello,
I tried getting the webdriver io api mocks to work. Are these apis supported by spectron? I could not get them to run. Is there a way to enable devtools protocol support?

Is there any other recommended way to mock http requests in spectron. Or should we look into the option of using a separate http mock server?
