MCP Server and Copilot enabled Extention recommendations

Hey all, First of all, thank you so much for putting this together; it's an awesome project.
Been fun watching this grow via the Friday livestreams

It would be great to see a set of default MCP servers and support for those built into some of these prompts.
For files, it would also be good to know what MCP server you should have installed when using the specific mode/prompt, etc

here is an example of the MCP server I use:

You are covering quite a wide net with this, and it's awesome to see. we will get lots of value from this repo!

Knowing what tools to have available is something that can be driven off the markdown file using the tools array, and it can be combined with the body to encourage the correct setup. Take the PostgreSQL DBA chat mode as an example, it specifies that there are certain PostgreSQL tools to include, and that there's a specific extension required for them.

Another is the Azure Cost Optimizer which specifies in the prompt to favour the Azure MCP server over the Azure CLI.

But one thing that this repo (currently) isn't doing is acting as a MCP directory. There's plenty of those already, so it's best to let them provide that and we'll focus on the prompt side of the equation.

I had been looking at the tool array. I can see specific tools mentioned and specific tools within MCP being used. Was thinking just a callout on the main table would be useful(for the main server, not each activated tool)

I agree that there are multiple directories etc, maybe a small section linking to a trusted directory and an explanation of where to find the servers for the prompts?

When I created this ticket, I was looking at it from a Copilot novice perspective. For some, all the info can be a bit overwhelming.
I am catching up quickly though :P

We want to be careful about what we put in the README, it's already quite verbose (which is part of the discussion in #68).

For MCP discovery, VS Code has that built in now, if you search of @mcp in the extensions panel it'll take you to https://code.visualstudio.com/mcp so you can easily install MCP servers, but yes, there is still a (potential) disconnect between the tools available locally and the tools you want to use (because of missing extensions, MCP servers, etc.).

How about additional metadata for a prompt file in a folder "instructions" with prompt-name.readme.md?
