create pathways / profiles for self-learning page

how do we structurally do this?
what profiles do we want? beyond simple tagging student vs researchers vs educators

The Turing Way website has an entirely different architecture/software than our Quarto websites, and uses some specific extensions on top of that to accomplish their "pathways" approach.

I don't see an easy route to accomplishing this unless someone has already created a similar extension for Quarto.
