We don't currently support lintr in our language server. I believe you'd have to use the LSP implemented in the R package |

Thanks @lionel- and @jennybc! I am aware of Air, but that replaces styler, right? I'll take a look at flir (https://github.com/etiennebacher/flir) |

@jabenninghoff Just to be clear, flir is an R package, like lintr, while flir2 is a complete rewrite on top of the Air infrastructure and is an independent program (that will be provided in vscode/positron via an extension, the same way Air is). |

@lionel- thanks for the clarification! I was confused when I got a 404 error for the original link you shared, perhaps flir2 is currently a private repo? I'm unable to find it. |

We don't currently support lintr in our language server. I believe you'd have to use the LSP implemented in the R package
languageserver(https://github.com/REditorSupport/languageserver) which supports lintr, but it's currently only integrated via the vscode-r extension which AFAIK is not recommended to install in Positron since it would conflict with our own language extension. So unfortunately I don't think this is possible at the moment.
