Performance lag and slower startup on Windows compared to macOS

I’ve noticed that Positron feels slower on Windows than on macOS. Startup takes much longer, and during the startup, loading the R and Python sessions seems to take a decent amount of time. On macOS, startup and responsiveness are noticeably smoother. Is anyone else also noticing slower startup or environment loading on Windows? It would be great to know if others can reproduce this.

I'm sorry that you've been experiencing performance issues! To help us narrow down the cause, could you please share some more information:

1. Logs via the Developer: Export Logs command (from the Command Palette), please include:
   • R/Python : Console
   • R/Python : Kernel
   • Kernel Supervisor
2. Could you also run the Developer: Startup Performance command and share the result here?
