Vue Language Tools is a set of tools developed specifically for Vue.js that enables VSCode extension, tsc CLI, language server... for Vue. and other core features for Vue.

The original vision of Vue Language Tools was to provide native-level TypeScript DX for Vue.js, and we've been working for 4 years to realize that goal.

Volar.js

Volar.js started out as part of the Vue Language Tools, and then we decoupled the framework-agnostic code from it to become a standalone framework for building language tools, which is now explored by front-end frameworks such as Astro, MDX, Ember.js, Vue Vine, and more.
