Temporarily auto-enable language-specific filter-lists when accessing respective pages #3584
-
As a similar feature is already included in AdGuard Browser Extension, I would suggest –if it is technically feasible– to develop a language-aware mechanism in uBO as well, which could temporarily auto-enable not explicitly activated language-specific filter lists, when the user occasionally visits sites written on different than system preset languages, given that built-in browser translation components make them easily accessible nowadays. |

No. It's unnecessary work that'd undermine uBO's efficiency. Enabling lists requires recompiling filters and that takes up resources and time. It wouldn't likely even be possible on chromium based browsers without then reloading the page for filtering to occur. I definitely wouldn't want these lists getting auto-enabled, whenever I occasionally visit a foreign website and then have a lot of force-enabled lists for no reason. Some websites get translated based on your IP, so using a VPN would force even more lists. That would just cause more issues for us as more lists = more breakages. |
