Development Build is much slower than native uBlock Origin in Chrome

I thought I would switch to the development build to see how it compares and the first thing I noticed is that it and other adblockers like Adguard, Ghostery, and more are quite slow in preventing annoyances like cookie notices from appearing on the screen. While the uBlock (and others) do remove them, typically after about 3 seconds it's quite slow compared to uBlock Origin which prevents them from appearing altogether (it's that fast and efficient).

Can't say anything without specifics. Provide exact steps to reproduce, then we might be able to explain what is going on.
