Can't make exception filter to cosmetic filter from logger

As title suggest, logger does not provide any way to add exception filter to cosmetic filter be it generic or specific filter

Turns out DOM Inspector does allow tha -- #3693 (reply in thread)

I keep forgetting about it, because there's no shortcut in uBO to DI.

I do aware of DOM inspector.but it's convenient if such feature exist just like we can add exception filter for network requests from logger.

You have no idea if the cosmetic filter you wanna exception will fix the issue you want to fix. That's why you have DOM Inspector where you can see a preview and create the exception. Or you can keep toggling temporary exceptions until you find the correct one. But remember that each toggle is a new trigger to recompile filters.

I guess a button to turn a temporary exception permanent wouldn't hurt, but I'm not sure how necessary it it.

Currently the logger exceptions feature table looks like:

It seems that the necessity of cosmetic exceptions is no different than necessity of network exceptions, as uBO users make usage of the both, therefore maybe there should be feature parity and both kind of filters should have temp+perma exceptions feature from the logger, unless it is technically more difficult to implement than it seems and the owner doesn't want to spend his time on it.

There is a "Static filter" pane when selecting an entry reporting a static network filter, I guess it makes sense to also have an extra pane to create exception filter when selecting an entry reporting an extended filter. I can see how it would make things easier when on a mobile device.
