Description

@Alexandre-BEKRI

I have checked the following:

  • I have searched existing issues and found nothing related to my issue.

This bug is:

  • making Bruno unusable for me
  • slowing me down but I'm able to continue working
  • annoying
  • this feature was working in a previous version but is broken in the current release.

Bruno version

v0.1.3

Operating System

Windows 11 Familly 26100.6584

Describe the bug

Hello,
When I open a .bru file in Bruno via VS Code, it opens correctly and I can edit it.
However, in the “Standalone Request” panel (which offers “Switch File Editor” and “Safe Mode”), if I use the “Switch File Editor” feature, Bruno shows the following error:
File does not exist: \file\C:\xampp\htdocs\TD9\Exo_5\Request.bru
The file does exist at this location and opens normally in Bruno.

Steps to reproduce:

Open a .bru file in Bruno via VS Code
Go to the “Standalone Request” panel
Click on “Switch File Editor”
Observe the “File does not exist” error with the prefixed path

Expected behavior:
The “Switch File Editor” feature should open the file

without any error.

Actual behavior:
Error “File does not exist” is shown, with the path displayed as "\file\c:..."
