How to manually manage DataUIPart in v5? I cant find much code examples

need some help here understanding how to use DataUIPart as I m moving from using experimental_attachments to this after upgrading from v.4.2 to v5. I do not want to use FileUIPart because some of these attachments I used was to hold some internal ID strings, not actual file content.
