Ability to integrate custom version control system

In our company we use our own version control system as well as companies like Google and etc. It would be super cool if we had ability to integrate it instead of Git

these custom version control system should provide git compatibility commands then and map them to git

there is commits and etc. but not all commands output is similar to git, that's why it's probably not gonna work unless i try to format it like git

and another take about compatibility for example we don't support patches (zed probably uses them to stage parts of file)

zed just can provide api for extensions to be able to create version control system plugins

my bad, i don't meant providing support only for our version control system, i meant providing api for that kind of extensions

I think the best approach would be to see what git commands Zed uses and create a cli wrapper that acts as a compatibility layer between Zed and the version control system

Then alias git to this cli when running Zed using a custom PATH

what i can do with git patches? if they not supported in our vcs

and can you plz provide some files where that git commands are listed in the code

not sure where they are, you would need to create a translation layer in code to turn your version control system into compatible patches I think but better see how Zed works first, you will have to search git in github search bar and find the commands used
