Would be nice for the additional CSS to follow WP coding standards.
The date format may need to be yyyy-mm-dd, or use the format from the WP admin settings.
The placeholder value will need to be translatable.

Allows for a much broader range of date-selection, not just limited to today/yesterday. Allows someone to find post with similar titles that might only be differentiated by the slug otherwise.
