We now launch the ant java task that launches the new tomcat process in a separate thread to avoid blocking.
… be specified in build config via the 'grails.tomcat.jvmArgs' property. e.g. grails.tomcat.jvmArgs = ['-Xmx1024m']

one. Since the argument value was a file, the tomcat -out and -err files were being retained between executions - not good.
normal server port but I've now changed it to the original port + 1.
