I added an OpenCL filter for converting GoPro Max pseudo EAC native .360 clips into standard equirectangular projected clips.
Why OpenCL ?
Each pixels need to be remaped with some time consuming math functions. So GPU computing seems to be the only effective solution.
- sample GoPro max to equirectangular projection and compress with libx264
- ./ffmpeg -hwaccel auto -hwaccel auto -init_hw_device opencl:0.2 -filter_hw_device opencl0 -v verbose -filter_complex '[0:0]format=yuv420p,hwupload[a] , [0:4]format=yuv420p,hwupload[b], [a][b]gopromax_opencl, hwdownload,format=yuv420p' -i GS010001.360 -c:v libx264 out.mp4
