This is a WIP - I had to commit to work on something else real quick. This moves the dropdown again and reworks some of the logic, although it does not include the "me" text from the dropdown. Need to see if that's feasible using the new recursive relationships, or if it's even necessary as I keep going through this and decide whether it makes sense to leave that section in the managers' profile view instead of somewhere else. (It feels weird to me to look in my own profile for a list of my direct reports' assets.)
