A lot has changed in the Deno ecosystem since the last effort here to support it.
This PR moves the primary runtime over to Deno, support for other runtimes is avaliable through JSR (published example here: https://jsr.io/@dewars/pattern)
If there are no major objections to this PR, I'll port the rest of the functionality (benchmarks, CI etc)
