NEEDS CHERRY-PICK TO GOLD

Describe your changes:

• Removes superfluous stringification of object keys in query. This was causing an HTTP error 400 to be returned from Couch
• Adds a test to verify that Couch uses the search index and that it returns an HTTP success .
