These changes fix some incompatibilities with the main engine's GLES2 branch and these examples. I was a little confused when I got copies fresh out of your repositories and it was throwing compiler errors.

seems like there is no maintenance happening on this project.

yeah, I noticed that after I posted the pull request. After having spent quite a bit of time trying to understand this engine and being confused by tutorials, examples, and code that don't match up, I've decided to use libGDX instead of AndEngine. Maybe one day I'll come back to this, once I have a better general understanding of 2D game engines based on OpenGLES, but for now I need something with documentation and tutorials that match the source.
