This is a initial spike to transform the library to Typescript.
Do not merge yet, there more work to do. For instance, using libkit the typescript is compiled as es6 modules and common.js, but it is not transpiled to ES5.
Also, this doesn't replace
window.XMLHttpRequestautomatically.
