Does the linux build create a bin dir to put the executable in? If so, something must have changed in the build tools?

It did at least on my machine (ubuntu-flavor). Feel free to try it yourself

The bin folder exists in the repository -- bin/sonic-pi is a script that points to the executable in app/build/gui/qt/sonic-pi

bin/sonic-pi

I would also add, at least for my PopOs installation, the qpwgraph package was not available and was not required. Also, after running app/pi-install-elixir.sh you may need to open a new shell/source your profile for the elixir/asdf installation to be found.

I can confirm needing to install the qt6-l10n-tools package on my system as well
