This projects features seem important, we may as well have them upstream. Which will help with maintenance overhead of multiple different addons.
ember-qunit & @ember/test-helpers now provided the functionality
I will be working on the needed changes in ember-qunit & @ember/test-helpers next, we shouldn't move forward with this until those are sorted.
